Lichtfaktor Lightwriting
Another fanboy post. We love German lightwriting crew Lichtfaktor. it's difficult to explain in words, but esstentially they are artists that do graffiti using light rather than paints. Using many differenet types of lights, from common torches, to bike and helmet lamps, they create their visuals by moving these lights around whilst shooting still images using a camera with a very slow shutter frame rate. This approach captures and elongates the light at each point of their movement, and when strung together using some clever stop-motion animation and audio, it creates a brilliant effect.
