Jumpin' Sleighs
Lava's own Christmas Flash game. The concept is very simple - users need to select a character, then try to fly them into Santa's sleigh. The game was designed, animated and then integrated with a database collecting worldwide top scores. Audio was composed by Lava, and the game was launched via email and a viral campaign.
After leaving it too late the last few years, we finally found time to put together our own Flash Christmas game. The game is very simple – users need to select a character (one of the lava Directors), then fly try to fly them into Santa’s sleigh.
To put this into practice, we came up with a concept, the knocked out the visual design. This was then animated, and we also had a soundtrack composed by Nick Thayer (with the PS3 Little Big Planet game soundtrack used as inspiration).
The game was launched via an e(mail) newletter campaign, then distributed by users virally. We helped by providing users with ‘Send to a Friend’ and a social site ‘Share’ panel. Another key aspect was the online Top Score card system, where users can record their results and compete with others worldwide.
