We are delighted to announce the launch of the new Australian Ballet School site. Lava has been working closely with the school for over 3 years, and it’s proven a very effective collaboration. ’09 sees the launch of a far more extensive, and highly integrated online setup to cater for both public visitors, as well as providing functional tools for the management of events and student services.
Following an external rebranding exercise, the school came to Lava to commence a full website redesign. The new style is crisp and elegant, reflecting the prestigious nature of the school and utilizing photo journalistic style images. These were shot specifically for the site (along with other print publications) and they provide a very intimate, people-oriented insight into the school.
The public aspect of the site presents a general overview of the school, along with a great summary of its programs, latest News and Events, and much more. The most interesting new addition is an event registration e-commerce facility. Users can select an event they wish to attend, make a booking and pay online. Lava also built an Intranet, where users can see exclusive information such as News and Events, and book/pay for discounted events.
The Lava CMS enables administration of all of the above, including the Intranet, as well as an order management facility. Lava handled the integration of the 3rd party e-Commerce setup, to enable live online payments.
