The Brief

A terrific custom multimedia presentation, bringing to life Cricket Australia’s '05 > '09 Strategic Plan. Through design and animation, the client wanted a feature that is integrated within their main site, www.cricket.com.au, to really engage an audience of all ages Australia-wide. Some fabulous stimulus was made available, including professional photography via Getty Images, and a soundtrack via Aria-award winning artist Tim Rogers of You am I fame.

Lava's Solution

Lava consulted closely with Cricket Australia to storyboard the key messages from the Strategic Plan with an emphasis on making the presentation fun and entertaining.

Design involved matching closely to branding guidelines, and ensuring a seamless fit with www.cricket.com.au. This was achieved through a similar gradient border, and the colour scheme and styling. Lava put in the extra effort to come up with a highly custom look and feel or content presentation, including significant photo cropping and layering over a silhouette background. This provided terrific scope for our multimedia team, and a sense of page depth.

Lava’s multimedia team brought the designs to life, through an energetic and polished presentation style. A focus was to ensure the movement draws the users’ eye to a place on the screen, helping to really impart the message of the Strategic Plan, and integrate the text with the photography. The presentation also combined some components which auto-play, with other being user-driven (interactive) such as the Main Menu. To complete the process, a music soundtrack was added to the high bandwidth version.
