RDNS Reflections
Lava, in close consultation with RDNS (Royal District Nursing Service), developed a highly customised, entirely online virtual museum called Reflections. This museum showcases an extensive archive of nurses' stories, interviews, photos and artifacts spanning thirteen decades.
National Water Commission - Wet Rocks
3 online games, to be used to help educate Year 7 to 9 high school students in the concepts of 'wet rocks' ground water and environment sustainability. The games are great fun, with a custom soundtrack, and online scoreboard to encourage competition.
SMA (Fairfax Media)
Satellite Music Australia (SMA), part of Fairfax Media, has the largest digital music database in the Southern Hemisphere. They provide audio and video solutions, such as in-store music and video, as well as on-hold messaging with embedded advertising. Lava created a playful cityscape using a collage of photography and vector graphics.
Mazenod College
Mazenod College, one of Melbourne's premier independent secondary Catholic schools, came to Lava wanting a full redevelopment of its online presence. The school took up on our concept of a visual and audio piece to showcase itself.
Fed Square Fluoro
A landmark of Oct '09 was the Fluoro Mag 6 launch at the Attrium in Federation Square. Lava collaborated with Housemouse to produce a funky 30-second animation that was played on Fed Square's HUGE outdoor screen throughout the day for a fortnight.
Jumpin' Sleighs
Lava's own Christmas Flash game. The concept is very simple - users need to select a character, then try to fly them into Santa's sleigh. The game was designed, animated and then integrated with a database collecting worldwide top scores. Audio was composed by Lava, and the game was launched via email and a viral campaign.
Vividas
Our favourite 3D project to date - a 2:30 min movie to act as Vividas's primary promotional tool. We storyboarded key messages, established a visual style, created the animation in 3D, and combined music from Lava's collaborator Nick Thayer. A highlight for Lava was being able to include video footage from Casino Royale courtesy of Sony!
Housemouse
Housemouse, award-winning Melbourne design agency, worked closely with Lava to create an entirely Flash-driven site that is quirky and unique. Enjoy the beautiful understated madness that is www.housemouse.com.au!
Cricket Australia
A terrific custom multimedia presentation, bringing to life Cricket Australia's '05 > '09 Strategic Plan. Through design and animation, the client wanted a feature that is integrated within their main site, www.cricket.com.au, to really engage an audience of all ages Australia-wide.
Fiji Visitors Bureau - Bula Fiji
A engaging interactive map facility, accessible via Fiji's official tourism site, www.bulafiji.com. People planning their holiday can select a region and drill down to a listing for accommodation and activities such as water sports or shopping. All of these items can be bundled up into a Suit Case, for collating and comparing search results.
